A Special Exhibition on the Munich Air Disaster 50th Anniversary runs to November 2008 and relates how the Busby Babes established themselves by winning the 1956 and 1957 First Division League titles. It details how the team entered the European competition for the second consecutive year and, after returning from a quarter-final against Red Star Belgrade, crashed on take-off from Munich airport, killing 23 of the 44 aboard, including 11 players and club officials. Additionally, during the Easter Half Term, Manchester United Museum offers Object Handling Sessions, giving children the chance to try on David Beckham's boots and Peter Schmeichel's shirt, while there’s an opportunity for 10 children to take part in a quiz and win an exclusive coaching session.
